展覧会概要
柴崎和也氏は鉄を素材として、穴のあいた形をガス溶接で制作している。
柴崎氏は、「穴の表情になんともいえない深みを感じる。」と言う。
また、「ガス溶接によって形をつくる行為は、鉄(素材)との対話であり、両者の関係に持続的に深く集中することを可能にするので性に合っている。」と言う。
この対話は双方向である。
柴崎氏が大切にしていることは、鉄(素材)との対話によって生まれる唯一性を大事に拾うこと。自身と向き合い、鉄(素材)と向き合うことで生まれる作品。
完成した作品たちは、鉄の重さと穴の軽やかさを併せ持ちながら、時空に静寂を刻んでいる。存在と虚無が交差する領域で、それらは絶えず何かを語りかけ、問いかけ続けている。観る者は、この見えない言葉の響きに包まれ、やがて自らもその対話の一部となる。それは存在と不在、重さと軽やかさの境界で呼吸している。
Exhibition Overview
Kazuya Shibazaki creates perforated forms using iron through gas welding.
Shibazaki says, "I feel an indescribable depth in the expressions of holes."
He also states, "The act of creating forms through gas welding is a dialogue with iron (the material), and it suits my nature as it allows me to concentrate deeply and continuously on the relationship between both."
This dialogue is bidirectional.
What Shibazaki values most is carefully capturing the uniqueness born from this dialogue with iron (the material). His works emerge from facing himself and confronting the iron (material).
The completed works, embodying both the weight of iron and the lightness of holes, inscribe silence into time and space. In the realm where existence and void intersect, they continuously speak and question something. Viewers are enveloped by the resonance of these invisible words, eventually becoming part of this dialogue themselves. It breathes at the boundary between presence and absence, weight and lightness.
