展覧会概要
漢字を用いた視覚詩によって、文字同士の潜在的な連鎖を森羅万象のリズムに重ね合わせる。線的な文脈から文字を解放し散点させることで方向性は曖昧になり、各漢字は独立性を保ちながら多焦点的に結び付く。そこでは形態・音韻・意味が交差し、相互作用の網目から新たな文脈と詩的イメージが浮かび上がる。
東洋美術史家アーネスト・フェノロサが漢字を「思想絵画」と呼んだとおり、その筆画は山脈の稜線、川の流れ、木立のざわめきといった自然の相貌を宿す。情報社会で大量に複製される活字であっても、その字線は悠久の流れに連なっているといえる。
書籍上で発展してきた視覚詩の系譜を踏まえつつ、私は物質的な質感や光、身体性を媒介に、言葉を多層的な深度をもつ表層へと展開してきた。近づけば一字一字が固有の意味を帯び、離れれば無数の点が響き合い星座のように全体像を結ぶ。
作品上の全ての漢字は互いに潜在的な結節点となり、鑑賞者の視線が巡るたび、偶然の連鎖が生まれる。見る／読むという二重の行為の狭間で意味は震え、論理的順序から解放された同時的な受容へと導かれることで、漢字同士は共鳴し始める。湿度を帯びた多義的な記号群のなかで、言葉とイメージが交差し、新たな詩が生成される場を提示したい。

Exhibition Overview
Through visual poetry composed of Chinese characters, this work synchronizes the latent interconnections between characters with the rhythms of the universe. By liberating characters from linear contexts and dispersing them spatially, their directionality becomes ambiguous. Each character maintains its independence while forming multifocal connections. In this space, form, phonetics, and meaning intersect, and new contexts and poetic imagery emerge from a web of interactions.
As East Asian art historian Ernest Fenollosa once described Chinese characters as "ideograms of thought," their strokes embody aspects of nature—mountain ridges, river flows, and the rustling of trees. Even in today’s information society where typefaces are mass-replicated, the lines of these characters can be seen as flowing from a timeless current.
While rooted in the tradition of visual poetry developed in print media, my work expands words into multilayered, tactile surfaces through material textures, light, and corporeality. Viewed up close, each character holds a distinct meaning; from afar, countless points resonate and converge like constellations to form a cohesive whole.
Every character in the work serves as a potential node, and each movement of the viewer's gaze generates new chains of coincidence. In the space between seeing and reading, meaning wavers—released from logical order and invited into a simultaneous mode of reception. Within this humid, polysemous field of signs, words and images intersect, creating a new realm for poetry to emerge.
